The Birth of Gaming Tourism
Xbox merged the travel market with the gaming market to entice a new audience less attracted to guns and violence. Partnering with Rough Guides, they created a whole integrated campaign encouraging people to “Visit Xbox” and the many different worlds it can offer.
Interesting twist when real traveling is limited. And great to learn about things like in-game photographers, which I never heard of before.
