Stamp collection —physically or digitally— to encourage participation is not new but the level of craft, integration and cultural impact of this campaign is outstanding. Not only is beautifully produced, it comes from well-researched traditions, and uses contemporary tools and methods to bring the Japanese railway out of the taken-for-granted status and to the forefront of people daily experiences.
