WiFi networks as media

To promote the availability of free WiFi in all Norwegian flights, what a better place to announce it than the cafes’ hotspots? After all that’s where they data-hungry customers hang out in the first place.

So the airline partnered with some of these cafes and ask them to change the name of their WiFi network to announce the news.

Not dissimilar to Merlbourne Writers Festival’s WiFiction from about a year ago. See below. Do we have a new genre?
