The Guinness Book of Records is a testament to our insaciable thirst for being the fastest, the tallest, the longest, the best at anything.
Following the steps of a category on its own —the world’s biggest...— Colombian retailer Homecenter came up with a new, yet very effective, iteration.
It’s the custom in Latin America to celebrate birthdays with a ‘piñata’. For Homecenter’s 18th birthday, instead of filling one with candies, they built a 8x8x10m big piñata filled with prizes (from white goods to two cars) that was toured around Bogota.
The case study does a very good job at showcasing the event and the impressive results, among others, to have catapulted the mall to the second most relevant brand in Colombia. No small feat.
