A very interesting TED Talk from Joseph Pine about what he coined as ‘The Experience Economy’. The need for companies to create engaging experiences as the economy moved up the ladder from selling commodities, to goods, to services and now experiences.

A very simple logic that applies to everything we do. And a cautionary tale about staging authentic experiences. Just 9 minutes. Worth watching or at least listening to while you’re doing something else.
