It’s hard to find surprising ideas in shopper marketing. But there are some out there.

Suave is a low cost shampoo brand that claims to have the same effect on your hair as the big brands for much less. To the extent that it will make you feel instantly glamorous.

To prove that, they’ve installed a wind machine and a camera right at the supermarket product shelf, demonstrating how much glam one can get with Suave, right on the spot. Social media sharing options of the glamorous shots were added to increase the reach of the campaign.

It didn’t convert at Cannes but it got into the Promo & Activation shortlist.
